AD / Should you’ve not had shawarma earlier than, it’s kind of like tandoori hen… I often prepare dinner the hen the night time earlier than, in spices blended with yogurt, so the hen stays pretty and tender – Now we have it chilly in wraps the subsequent day, which is a lifesaver on busy nights!

Feeds 4 (with leftovers!)

For the shawarma:
1kg hen breast
150g greek yoghurt
Juice half a lemon
half tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp floor coriander
1 tsp floor cumin
1 tsp turmeric
half tsp cinnamon

To serve:
Four x giant naan bread
Shredded Lettuce
Child plum tomatoes
2 x tbsp houmous
1/three cucumber sliced
2 x dessert spoons yoghurt (elective)

Warmth the oven to 200C
Combine the yogurt, spices and lemon juice collectively in a bowl after which place the hen breasts within the bowl.
Combine till all of the hen is coated within the yoghurt.
Place the hen in a roasting pan and bake for 20 minutes, or till the hen is cooked by. Lower into the centre of every of them to make sure they’re not pink.
Lower the hen into items.
Serve with naan bread, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, houmous and a little bit yoghurt.
